It all began with a memory of Ubatuba, Brazil.
The tropical birds. The extraordinary colours. The lush green surroundings. And that ocean — so impossibly blue and turquoise.
Some places stay with you long after you've left them.
That feeling eventually found its way onto paper.
A small, expressive painting made with Ecoline, gouache and chalk.
Layers of colour, spontaneous lines and the energy of a tropical landscape.
And then I thought: why leave that feeling on paper?
What if you could wrap yourself in it?
The painting became UBATUBA, a wearable piece of art, made from a beautiful blend of 90% wool and 10% silk.
Exceptionally soft, lightweight and warm in winter, yet breathable enough for summer evenings.
