Hilton / Restaurant "Pearl"
The Hague
Photography: Joan van Nispen
The geographic and historical roots of the city and its surroundings inspired the design for the Hilton in The Hague.
The Grand Café reflects the 17th Century atmosphere of Vermeer, which is brought to life using modern techniques such as 6-metre high columns revealing a laser-cut 17th Century Delft lace pattern, and chandeliers made with a 3D printer (rapid prototyping).
All public spaces reflect the splendour and glory of the Golden Age. All convincingly realised with contemporary materials and techniques.
